Sun Spot Removal & Skin Rejuvenation
Sunspots are dark portions of the skin that develop after prolonged exposure to direct ultra violet or UV rays. Prolonged sun exposure also accelerates collagen breakdown which in turn causes fine lines and wrinkles. At Advantage Laser Clinic we offer laser technology to smooth out fine lines, sun spots and overall skin rejuvenation. This laser is called the Medlite C6 laser.
The Medlite C6 laser is the best laser technology for removing sun spots, age spots, freckles or hyperpigmentation while rejuvenating the skin. The Medlite C6 laser is a q-switched photoacoustic technology. What this means is that high speed energy waves penetrate the skin in nanoseconds therefore there is less accumulation of heat which allows us to safely and aggressively treat the pigmentation or skin concern. Photoacoustic waves are used to fragment brown spots which ultimately fades and removes them leaving the skin clear and even. These photoacoustic waves also gently vibrate collagen fibers which in turn smoothes out the skin or rejuvenates the skin.
The Medlite C6 is the newest generation q-switched laser. The Medlite C6 laser remains the gold standard for pigmented skin and skin rejuvenation world wide.
What To Expect After Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Post treatment any sun spots or pigment will appear white or grey then darken. The darkened spots will either fade as the body gets rid of the fragmented pigment or the spots may surface and crust off. Aside from the temporary darkening of pigment, the collagen re-modelling process has been triggered. When the skin is heated to temperatures at and above 45 degrees collagen denatures and new collagen is formed smoothing out lines and improving dull skin complexions. This process is called volumetric bulk heating of the skin. There is no downtime with this volumetric skin heating procedure.
